Reports of the Pound’s demise have been greatly exaggerated

Remember all the doom mongering about sterling reaching parity against the Euro? Well, our currency has shown some splendid resilience of late and stood at Ł1/€1.16 yesterday afternoon.

As a result we’ve seen a marked increase in reservations for destinations inside the Eurozone and many of our trips are now reaching capacity.

We’ve highlighted a few destinations here where we still have availability and where your pound will go a lot, lot further than it might have done just a few weeks ago.

France - French Pyrenees

We’ve had some great weather recently here in the UK and don’t we just lap it up? But be warned, we enjoyed a similar early summer last year but July and August were pretty disappointing. In The Pyrenees Orientales, where they get over 300 sunshine days annually, they take fine weather for granted.

Slovenia - Soca Valley

If there’s a more beautiful river valley anywhere in Europe then we’d like to know about it. Great activities, a beautiful setting and some of the cheapest prices anywhere in Europe. Fabulous!

Austria - The Dachstein Mountains

To fully enjoy this holiday, you’ll definitely require a head for heights and an appreciation of some of the finest mountain scenery anywhere in the world. And maybe your toothbrush.
