Kittila - Lapland Winter Adventure

A big thankyou to Activities Abroad for a great holiday, which I booked for my partners 40th birthday as a surprise. As he didn't no where Kittila was he he hadn't a clue where we going to. So what a surprise he got when we arrived there? The hotel was great and so was the staff, polite and couldn't of been more helpful. First day we met our guide Jaakko, who was fantastic, through out the week so special thanks to him. We then went to Lanio the ice hotel by snowmobile. WOW you just have to see it to belive it the sculptures are amazing. Tuesday we did reindeer sledging, would defiantly recomend taking the kids to this one. But the best day was the Husky sledging as you have your own team of dogs pulling you through the forest on your sledge which you are in control of, which is such an amazing feeling. We also did cross country skiing, and as we have never skied before it is a good starting point.So by the end of the week we were tired but I would say one of the best holidays we have ever been on as everything is provided. The food was very good and plenty of it so the holiday was well worth the money for what you got so if you are thinking of going don,t think about it just book it . PS just like to thankyou for the red bottle of wine you left in our bedroom for my partners birthday and to the hotel for the chocolates which we shared with our group on our leaving dinner, so we all enjoyed. My partners dream came true when we saw the Northern Lights on the monday night so that was a bonus.
