Simone and his family were the kindest and most helpful of hosts. Simone and Till were exemplary guides – knowledgeable and confidence-inspiring and incredibly patient with the less experienced members of the group. Most enjoyable activity: Canyoning and pizza-making were particular highlights but everything was fun. The canyoning was fantastic because of the beauty of the river, and the combination of excitement with a sense of being in safe and experienced hands. Least enjoyable activity: We enjoyed everything! None of us had done rock-climbing before and it was a bit challenging for some of us, but the support and encouragement provided by Simone and the other guides was superb. Could we improve this holiday? It would be hard to think of anything. Casa Carbonaia is a beautiful spot and Simone and Till were wonderful guides, always easy-going and nothing was too much trouble.
