We are aware that there are a multitude of special dietary needs and we endeavour to cater for all requests where possible. Whether it is simply the fussy child who thinks eating a slice of pizza is a culinary step too far to the serious needs associated with severe allergies our teams across Finland work to cater for you.
What is of course important is the information that you provide us. The more information you provide the more likely it is that you will not have any potentially embarrassing situations. Please remember that you are, however, visiting a country which has its own distinct cuisine, which it loves to encourage visitors to embrace. Most food is of course locally sourced as part of the ethos of sustainability, but this does not stop them rustling up a plate of fries for that particularly stubborn 7 year old at dinner with obligatory tomato ketchup.
Dealing with certain requirements such as ‘halal’ or ‘kosher’ can be extremely difficult in some wilderness locations so it is vitally important.
In some countries such as Finland there is an even greater demand for special diets than in the UK. Hence, they are able to cater for vegetarians and other dietary requirements such as gluten and nut free, even on overnight safaris.
We must be made aware of any dietary requirements at the time of booking.
