We have created this holiday for those individuals who would like to stay in an authentic, wonderful accommodation deep in the Tuscan countryside and explore this wonderful part of the world by bike.
The farmhouse is perfectly located with Lucca, Florence, Pisa all within reach and the beautiful Italian coast is just over an hour’s drive away. There is a huge range of cycling routes from beginner’s scenic trails to more advanced and longer distance routes and your expert host Simone, also a passionate cyclist will be happy to advise you on some of his favourite routes.
We have included two delicious evening meals here incorporating two of Tuscany’s most famous specialities – pizza making and wine tasting. Both of these will be led by local experts and are two of our favourite elements of a holiday in Tuscany.
We can also arrange mountain bike hire from your host Simone or you may book some other additional activities in the local area.
Suitable for
Anybody aged 18 years or over.
We have left this week completely up to you. Mountain bike hire is included for 6 days of your stay in Tuscany and the added bonus of having your own car gives you ultimate flexibility in exploring this wonderful part of the world. The outdoor swimming pool (with the best views in the world) is the ideal place to relax after your days adventures. Optional activities can also be added all led by expert guides – please see below for more information:
Caving
This is the only destination where we are able to feature caving and it’s been extremely popular with previous clients in Tuscany. You will walk, climb and abseil into the heart of Tuscany in the La Tana Che Urla caves. Along the route you will discover two dramatic underground waterfalls and your expert guides will be on hand to assist you through these fascinating tunnels and caves.
Price (includes all equipment and supervision from expert guides): £55 per person
Canyoning
There is a choice of canyons in the area and in the morning your guide will decide the best route based on the experience and ability of the participants. With the guidance of the instructor, you will make your way downstream with a series of jumps, slides, scrambles and often swimming or wading through the deeper water. We recommend a waterproof camera to capture your enjoyment of this fantastic adventure.
Price (includes all equipment and supervision from expert guides): £55 per person
Meals included in the price
Welcome Meal – Saturday 7pm
This delicious meal is extremely special and a fabulous welcome to the area. There will be wine tasting and a wonderful menu which offers some local delicacies in a genuine Tuscan setting away from the tourist style restaurants. We take you to where the locals go to enjoy a special meal.
Pizza Making – Friday at 18:30
Under the guidance of an expert local chef you will each create your own speciality pizza toppings before using the traditional outdoor pizza oven to cook your unique creations. Then comes the best part, sitting back with a good glass of wine looking out on the beautiful view from the terrace and the best part of course – the tasting!

Getting there
This is a self drive holiday.
Our base for this wonderful family activity holiday is in Tuscany steeped in local traditions, cultures and is just 700m from the birth place of Leonardo Da Vinci and the stunning town of Vinci.
The 14th century farmhouse we use as our accommodation has been lovingly transformed into apartments as part of an Agriturismo project whilst still retaining a genuine Tuscan 'feel'. Accommodation is strictly limited in the area which allows careful management of tourism in terms of numbers.
Our local partner Simone is pioneering the development of the local economy through tourism and by only working with companies who share his policies on the environment and cultural preservation.
Throughout the week guests are encouraged to try the local flavours. Through pizza making lessons, olive oil tasting and Italian cookery lessons customers will learn about the fantastic local dishes and help to preserve the traditional recipes.
Guests are encouraged to interact with the local community and use the local shops to purchase produce throughout the week. The purchasing of local products spreads the benefits of tourism throughout the wider community.
