Our boss Ali McLean is heading to Tuscany this weekend. He's not usually one for going to the same place twice but as this is the fourth time he and his family have been on our Tuscan Activity Holiday there's obviously a certain allure.
"What's not to love? The accommodation is set high in the hills above the small town of Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo. The apartments are charming and rustic, the garden and pool enjoy unimaginable views over the Tuscan countryside and it's simply a wonderful place to relax.
If we can drag ourselves away from the pool, then there's mountain biking, walking, climbing, canyoning, wonderful food and wine and the most beautiful city in the world, Florence, is just a 45 minute drive away".

Steph is going to Asiago

Our colleague Steph is a girl who enjoys a bit of pampering after a tough day in the Great Outdoors so she too is heading for Italy.
"I visited the Hotel Gaarten briefly last year and resolved to come back for a longer stay this summer. I can't wait to go rafting on the River Brenta or horse riding across the Asiago Plateau but it’s lovely to know I can return to a top class hotel afterwards. A massage in the spa is just reward for my endeavours during the day".

Activities Abroad Ash Cloud Policy
Our Ash Cloud policy and is now on our website for anyone who has already booked a holiday with us or is interested in doing so in the future.
The policy covers every eventuality. We would like to reassure clients and for you to be aware that the situation is constantly improving.
For example, under new regulations made during the last two days Flybe would have had to cancel only 21 flights as opposed to the 380 flights under the previous regulations. This would have meant that less than three per cent of its total programme would have been affected under the new guidelines. We at Activities Abroad are extremely hopeful that this will have a minimum level of impact on our summer departures.
