To experience a dazzling Aurora, resplendent against a pitch black sky, you need to travel into what is known as the “Aurora Zone”. In essence, the lights are most radiant within an area situated between 60° north and 72° north although when solar activity is low, 67° north is considered the place to be.
Over nearly a decade of providing holidays in Northern Scandinavia we’ve created a series of holidays that might best be described as being “right in the zone”.
These holidays are all based in quieter, less populated destinations where it is usually sufficient to step outside and
gaze skywards. Even in Tromso we take you away from the city lights to a remote Fjord to ensure that you have the best possible view of the Aurora should they appear.
