I cannot praise Maria and her team enough. We had a very special holiday. Most enjoyable activity: Canyoning and swimming with dolphins. Tea plantation was also fascinating. Read more She is exceptionally knowledgeable about the Azores (well everything actually), good natured and humorous. She is also adaptable, having had to go out of her way to drive to an animal rescue centre to drop off an abandoned kitten that my daughter had found. I speak for the whole family when I say we feel lucky to have had Sandy for the whole week.

Ivano our guide made the holiday extra special as he was such an interesting character who was extremely knowledgeable, generous, enthusiastic and good with all ages of the children who were there, ranging from 8 to 17. Read more snorkelling. We were able to snorkel in the bay because there were loads of fish there too. Mount Etna was also very interesting. I can’t think of a day that I didn’t enjoy – I didn’t want the holiday to end.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable holiday that worked really well for our family with 2 teenagers. The activities were varied and long enough. Cornil and his team were excellent - pleasant, helpful, efficient - and really made us feel as if we weren't the umpteenth group that they had ever dealt with. Swimming with dolphins was amazing and extremely well managed by the skipper on our boat. An experience we will never forget.

We could not fault the arrangements and planning of activities. The lagoon day was very special and we felt privileged to be able to have such a fabulous time in this secret place.

The holiday was excellent. The activity hosts were professional and the organisation and execution of the activities were outstanding. All activities were enjoyed by one or more members of the family. There was not an activity that was not enjoyable. There were some that were more difficult than others to master. Surfing, for example, is very enjoyable but will take significant practice to master.

Don't change anything. A very good balance of activities. It was great to see my son enjoying activities he hadn't tried before & becoming more confident on his bike though the mountain biking day. Dago, the local rep, was superb throughout. He was a big part of making the holiday very enjoyable. Sort was great. It did not feel like a typical tourist resort. Food prices were very reasonable.…
Read more Very few other English voices around. I think I could count the number of times I heard other Brits through the week on the fingers of 1 hand. We were a group of 10 in total. Everyone got on well, which added to the experience.

This was our third holiday away with AA and it didn't disappoint! We spent the first week and a half travelling around Sicily before starting our week of adventure. The locations for the activities were beautiful, the accommodation very comfortable, and the food was delicious. The boys especially enjoyed the body rafting whilst my favourite was the snorkelling in the beautiful warm clear blue sea.…
Read more We all thoroughly enjoyed hiking to the summit of Mt Etna and this really made the holiday for us. We were a little apprehensive about being the only family booked for our week but we needn't have been. Ivano and Vera were so welcoming and helpful and allowed us some flexibility in tailoring our activities to suit us. The boys were fortunate enough to meet some AA families who had stayed/arrived a few days extra/before so they had some time to chat and hang out around the pool with kids their own age. Thoroughly recommend it. 5 stars from us!
